Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
Mental Health Awareness Week 2025: Celebrating the Power of Community
12–18 May 2025
Why Community Matters
Mental Health Awareness Week is the UK’s biggest annual campaign dedicated to understanding and improving our collective well-being. In 2025, the Mental Health Foundation’s theme is Community—the connections, support networks and shared experiences that give us strength in challenging times and enrich our everyday lives.

At Challenging Behaviour Solutions Ltd, we know that positive relationships and a strong support network are vital not only for mental health but also for implementing effective Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans. Whether you’re a parent, carer, educator or support professional, drawing on community resources helps foster resilience, reduce isolation and promote lasting positive change.

How to Get Involved
- Share one of the official graphics or posters on your social channels using #ThisIsMyCommunity and tag friends, family or colleagues who lift your spirits.
- Host a small gathering—an afternoon tea, online meet-up or team huddle—displaying the Event or Awareness poster and discussing one new way to stay connected.
- Discuss the Top Ten Tips with your support team or care network to inspire practical ways of embedding community in daily routines and PBS plans.
- Feature the Mental Health Awareness Week logo on your website, email signature or printed literature throughout the week to show your organisation’s commitment to mental well-being.
Why PBS and Community Go Hand in Hand
Positive Behaviour Support is most effective when delivered within a supportive, well-connected environment. By harnessing community resources—peer groups, local services, trusted networks—you can:
- Reinforce positive routines through social encouragement.
- Share learning among carers, educators and professionals.
- Celebrate progress publicly, strengthening morale for everyone involved.
- Identify early warning signs and respond collaboratively.
Let’s build stronger, kinder communities together.
